The Ingham Twins: a mystery wrapped in an enigma?
Inspired by the latest installment of Rocked the Nation, I realised that I must devote more time to contemplating the Ingham twins. Rumours that there may be a biopic in the works are simply too delicious.
So this post will be an open file of sorts, to be updated whenever I hear anything new, or have any thoughts on the pair. In the meanwhile, here’s something I’m struggling with:
Conversion Puzzler
C4’s Top 100 NZ Pop Culture Stories reported that the twins had converted to Islam, and showed a picture of them in head scarves.
This throws up a paradox that wrecks my brain: In any case I’ve ever seen of Western women converting to Islam they were all, without exception, intelligent, educated, articulate, confident, self-assured, and charming. Are we missing something with the Inghams? Perhaps some overlooked autistic genius? Regardless, I’ve just started a drinking binge to end my own life.

HAHAHAHA ITS SO TRUE. The Ingham twins fascinate me to my very core and have done since my mum told me about them. Aside from that: How much do we love Rocked the Nation? HEAPS.
