Suggestive Facebook Friend Suggestion
Most of Facebook’s friend suggestions are logical because they are the friend of a friend. But occasionally Facebook throws up strange, seemingly-random suggestions.
Here’s the perfect example: Facebook seems determined for me to be friends with Tanny McTits below and in weaker moments I am sorely tempted to oblige The Face, if it weren’t for the fact that she is undoubtedly a 45 year old male serial killer.
Presumably we would make excellent friends because we have interests in common such as apocalyptic riddles and making masks from human skin.
Speaking of Facebook, you have to see the movie Funny People for perhaps the funniest moment in film ever. Adam Sandler’s character has a standup gig at a MySpace convention. He gets Seth Rogen’s character to write some material for him and Jonah Hill’s character suggests to Rogen that he has use the line ‘fuck Facebook in the face’.
Then, at the convention Sandler is following a music set by James Taylor who steals the gag completely by signing off with ‘fuck Facebook’. Seeing James Taylor say this is maybe the funniest thing I have ever seen.
Never forget to logout of Facebook
Facebook is fast becoming passe, but every now and then something happens to totally redeem it.
The other day I noticed an amazing status update by a friend.
I couldn’t believe it, was it for real? And if so, what was the exact combination of alcohol and self-hate required to reach this point? The answer, a few hours later:
In chatting to my friend, he told me that ‘Facebook logout fail’ happens repeatedly to him at his friend’s flat. In the other best previous ‘hack’ his profile picture was changed to the following (a fantastic choice I must say):
