Shot Put. More like Hot Put, damn!

The shot put at Beijing was a turning point for my proud tradition of women’s sports voyeurism. No longer will I hang out for a sneaky perve at the beach volleyballers. Some of the world’s hottest female athletes get their kicks chucking solid steel balls around. Here are some of their finest.

Valerie is unquestionably one of shot put’s biggest hotties. There is really nothing more to say except please, for God’s sake, never question it. And after all, you don’t get Olympic gold in shot put by being anything other than a Greek goddess.

As an aside, I think women’s shot put might also qualify as the sport most poorly represented by stock photography in terms of portraying basic physical realities. Have a look at this image and tell me she isn’t criminally misrepresenting real-life female shot putters. None of the women at Beijing had tattoos and would certainly never compete wearing bracelets.
